Sharjah washes for families — and for industry

Sharjah is the UAE’s third emirate and its most family-first. From the towers of Al Nahda and Al Majaz to the apartments of Abu Shagara and the growing neighbourhoods of Muwaileh, this is an emirate of households — and households generate laundry by the bagful: school uniforms, abayas and kanduras, bedsheets, curtains and the weekly wash & fold pile. Customers here are value-conscious: they compare prices between the laundries on their street, and stay loyal to the shop that gives them a fair per-kg rate and a monthly plan that genuinely saves them money.

Then there is the other Sharjah. The Industrial Area and the SAIF Zone run on workshops, warehouses and staff accommodation — all of it wearing uniforms and sleeping on linen that someone has to wash.
